Police Credit Union

Because there's strength in unity

YOUNGSTER SAVINGS

The Youngster account gives your children or grandchildren a good start financially, although under credit rules, they must be living in the same household as the main member. You can contribute regular amounts through your pay packet (where force rules permit) and you simply manage the account as a trustee until the account holder reaches 16 years of age.

The Youngster account attracts the same dividend (up to a maximum balance of £5,000) as the Rewarder account for adult savers.

Further Information and Application Forms

To download the Youngster leaflet which include the terms and conditions of the savings account and an application form to join, please visit the downloads section where you may also download the terms and conditions of the life cover policy.

Please note that we at Police Credit Union are bound by the same anti-money laundering requirements as any other financial institution. As we know who the main member is and where he/she lives, all we need for a Youngster account is a copy of the Youngster's birth certificate.

The Police Credit Union is a member of the Financial Services Compensation Scheme. The Scheme guarantees to pay 100% of a maximum £50,000 should the Credit Union fail.

Under the Distance Marketing Directive, you have the right to cancel your savings account within 14 days of opening without financial or other penalty.
