The PCU Cash ISA (Individual Savings Account) offers members the opportunity to save up to £5,640 per tax year without any liability to tax.
Once a member is saving into a Rewarder regular savings account, an ISA can then be opened with PCU. The PCU Cash ISA offers:
- tax free saving, ideal for the taxpayer
- savings up to £5,640 per tax year.
- projected rate return of at least 2.5% for the tax year 2011-2012**
- life cover at no extra cost to double savings (of up to a total saving of £25,000 per member) in event of a claim*
- easy saving through payroll deduction option, where available
- ‘interest’ calculated daily and credited to account annually in April
- access to savings without penalty subject to 60 days’ written notice or immediately subject to a penalty equal to 60 days’ ‘interest’ on the amount withdrawn
- available to serving and retired police officers and police staff (including family members over 16 living with the main member)
- available to serving law enforcement employees, including POA members (NOMS payroll)
